Job Summary
Teachers-in-charge supports the school’s mission by working closely with educators to enhance both academic and non-academic learning experiences. This role requires effective classroom management, strong facilitation skills to nurture students’ thinking abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and conducive learning environment. Relief Teachers are responsible for taking attendance, marking assignments promptly using provided answer sheets, and recording results accurately.
Core Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with teaching colleagues to enhance educational delivery across all subject areas and non-academic fields.
Establish and maintain classroom discipline through effective management strategies whilst facilitating engaging lessons that promote analytical thinking and student participation.
Ensure accurate attendance recording for all lessons.
Personal Competencies, Qualifications and Experiences
Degree or diploma in relevant disciplines (e.g. English Mathematics, Information and Communications Technology, Creative Arts, or Hospitality and Retail.
Possess trained teaching certification and/or pedagogical certification from recognised institutions.
A team player with good interpersonal skills.
Show genuine passion for character development and student development.
Posses previous experience working with students who share similar profiles to those at NorthLight School.
