Performing Arts

The Dance Club was set up to develop the dance interest of students. The Dance Club consists of Year 1 to Year 4 students who undergo rigorous practices and routines by trained instructors.
Every dance member is given various opportunities to express their creativity and cultivate their leadership qualities.

Our dance members are exposed to different genres of dance. They put into practice their skills and talents in numerous performances at school and public venues.
The dance programme equips students with dance skills, confidence, positive learning attitude and moral values. All dance members learn the importance of commitment, discipline and teamwork.

NorthLight School Drama CCA revolves around the school curriculum, especially in Character Education. Students are exposed to the concept of Habits Of Mind; using 8 types of problem-solving life-related skills, promoting strategic reasoning, insightfulness, perseverance, creativity, and craftsmanship. The application of these 8 Habits of Mind serves to provide each student with skills to work through real life situations, equip the student to be aware of the things around him/her and also an intentional strategy in order to gain a positive outcome.

The Music Club aims to inculcate in our students an appreciation of music, and to instill positive values in them.

Our team of teachers comprise Ms Hia Noi Meng, Mr Heng Kai Le, and our instructor Mr Danny Sum. We are also blessed to have a regular volunteer voice instructor Ms Ellissa with us. Music lessons are held in the Drama Room each Friday. Students learn to play the guitar, and some learn to sing and play on the drum as well.
