History and Background of the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC) in NorthLight School
NorthLight-NCDCC Unit has been set up in 2007, the year when the school was founded. It was purported that a uniformed group (UG) was set up to meet the needs of developing the leadership potential and character of our students.
Through participation in the myraid of activities NCDCC offers at the school unit and inter-unit levels, our students, both past and present found themselves growing in their leadership qualities, character and networking skills. We hope that NorthLight-NCDCC unit will grow from strength to strength in the years to come, as we the teachers and students of NCDCC strive towards passionate involvement in civil defence-related activities organised by NCDCC HQ and at the school level.

Participated in the fund raising event for the President's Challenge 2008 by selling "Kit Kat" chocolate bars. - Aug 2008
Participated as a supporting contigent together with the MountBatten Community Centre on NDP 2008.
